2021 Kia Soul Trim Levels
The Kia Soul is one of Kia’s most popular vehicles on the market. The 2021 Kia Soul offers value and versatility that helps it stand out amongst its competitors. If you are in the market for the new Kia Soul, you’ll want to know which trim level is right for you. In this article, we will explore the trim levels in the 2021 Kia Soul.
The Kia Soul comes in 6 available trim levels. Each trim level offers something unique which means you’ll want to explore the various offerings before you commit to buy.
The base level Kia Soul is the LX trim. While “base trim” usually means lack of technology, that’s not the case with the Soul. The LX is equipped with a 7” Touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto, backup camera and Bluetooth connectivity. You’ll also get the 2.0L DOHC In-line 4-cylinder engine that comes standard on all of the trims except for the Turbo. All said, the Kia Soul LX offers incredible value with an MSRP well below $20k.
Next up is the Kia Soul S. This trim level gets some aesthetic upgrades like body-colored side mirrors and alloy wheels. You’ll also get certain standard features like steering-wheel mounted controls, select drive modes and remote keyless entry which are only available as upgrades on the LX trim. You’ll also get Power Front Seating and the Premium Tricot Cloth Seats rather than Manual Front Seats and Woven Cloth.
The next available trim level is the GT-Line trim. This trim also gets some exterior upgrades like a Hot Stamping Type Front Grille and a unique GT-Line Exterior Appearance. Also standard on the GT-Line is the power sunroof and 18” Alloy Wheels. In addition, you’ll USB charging ports in the front console and a 12-volt charger in the cargo area.
Next up is the X-Line trim level. The Kia Soul X-Line gets its own appearance package including an exclusive body kit, roof rails, exclusive alloy wheels and silver outside power-adjustable mirrors. Both the GT-Line and X-Line trim levels are appearance packages but also come with additional optional upgrades not available on lower trim levels.
The Kia Soul EX trim is the highest level trim with the base level engine. This trim comes loaded with features like power sunroof, alloy wheels, premium tires and more. On the inside, you’ll get the exclusive 10.25” Color Touch Screen with Navigation, SiriusXM and HD Radio. Wireless phone charger, additional USB ports and Smart Key Push-Button Start/Stop are just a few of the tech features offered on this trim. At a price point of only $23,350, the EX offers incredible luxury.
The final trim level is the Kia Soul Turbo. The main upgrade is a 1.6L DOHC 4-Cylinder Turbocharged engine. This puts out an upgrade 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque compared to 147 hp and 132 lb-ft of torque is the standard engine option. The Turbo trim comes with the GT-Line appearance package as well as upgrades like LED lighting. Inside, you’ll get the 10.25” Premium Touchscreen as well as the premium Harman Kardon Audio System. Other premium upgrades include Synthetic Leather Seat Trim, Heating Seats/Steering Wheel and remote start.
